Superb tripod floor lamp in stained wood, triangular tablet enclosed by two feet. Original lampshade. circa 1950. Founded in 1924 by Georges-Léon Rispal, the company is located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. It publishes and manufactures rather classic lighting fixtures. A turning point began in the early 1950s, when François Rispal, son of the founder, imagined avant-garde creations, inspired by Scandinavian design, and notably developed the Praying Mantis, a true icon of that era. Our floor lamp is a derivative of this model created by various architects and decorators of the company. after flourishing years, it will close its doors in 1982 without keeping any archives or traces of its creative process.
