Spectacular Vermeil Monstrance - 1837 to 1846

Our monstrance is imposing. It is entirely in vermeil with its golden metal lunule. The rococo style quadripod base decorated with windings and acanthus leaves, adorned with the Lamb of the Apocalypse and vine branches, surmounted by the angel Gabriel with arms crossed standing on a globe surrounded by the serpent seeking the apple, the upper part decorated with the heads of angels in the clouds surrounded by glory and surmounted by the Cross.

Minerva hallmark. Hallmark of the Parisian master goldsmiths, MARTIN and DEJEAN active between 1837 and 1846.
A piece that would have its place in a cathedral.
